Massage found me, not the other way around. It began as a more raw calling to help my fellow humans. After witnessing a large brawl and assisting injured parties, I was inspired to join the hospital as an orderly, where I gained an abundance of experience in patient care, emergency response, and leadership. I found I was quite skilled in speaking with people, and my rudimentary shoulder massage gained some renown amongst my peers. By the time the pandemic hit Vermont, I was elevated to a shift lead within my department, and it was during this time I felt a desire to not only claim more independence in my career but also to leverage my talents at personal connection and healing. I took a leap of faith with a Chinese Medicine course and the rest is history. There is so much to love about bodywork and massage, and I am very grateful that my roots are in Chinese medicine! Chinese medicine opened my mind to the unique wonders and intricacies of the human body, mind, and soul and changed my perspective on life and the world around me as well. It is a never ending quest of knowledge, growth, and understanding on both an exoteric and esoteric level, and the healing arts, in my opinion, are one of the few ways in our modern life we can experience real magic. It fills me with awe and inspiration, and is such a worthy skillset to pursue mastery of. I bring a sort of balance and harmony to my practice. My experience in Tui Na and deep tissue techniques has afforded me a sort of balance of the humors, where I can approach both the physical and metaphysical aspects of a client's needs and find the true course to their healing. My natural compassion helps me to relate to the people around me and understand their hopes and needs, and through this and my versatile approach and skills we can sow harmony of body and mind.
