Hey Ladies!!! Next up is the NATIONAL MEDICAL ASSOCIATION’S Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly here at Hilton Chicago today through the 23rd!!!

* This is my fifth and hopefully final year serving as the women’s health section’s chairwoman. These lineups STAY impressive if I say so myself! I want to publicly thank my village- prior and new- for serving the black women physician community as only we can.

* The section of the educates on the medical concerns of women and provides support and guidance to us as attendees as black women physicians face higher rates of stress and racism in the healthcare arena.

The money we earn as physicians can never match the social, familial, financial, relational, and medical sacrifices we make to take care of people.

I am Dr. Sherri Broadwater also known as Dr. Sherri Psych, your double board certified psychiatrist for women and children. I help women of all professions be the best that they can be through my psychiatric practice, coaching sessions, speaking engagements and my books. I confidentially partner with my clients to heal hurtful life experiences, conquer stress and firmly fix family drama resulting in the peaceful and prosperous lives that they desire.

I come from wonderful women whose shoulders I stand on today. My grandmothers, aunts, cousins, mother and sister stood and stand in their truth to achieve their goals. The picture above is of my family with my grandparents in the front; my grandmother is the sun hat. I love this woman though I never met her. She loved her family, wanted the best for her community and had big dreams and aspirations.

I want all women to have the opportunity to create the lives they seek for themselves and I am excited to be used as a tool for discovery, introspection and healing. Virtual and in-person appointments are available individually and via group session.

My coaching for women is called ‘Reclaiming Our Families, One Woman at a Time’ and focuses on overhauling busy schedules, re - claiming health, addressing any family patterns that negatively impact our relationships and careers, and re-affirming financial plans for legacy wealth.
