Motley's Mission

Helping to end the stigma of mental health by reaching out to those in need. We are here to provide help and hope because no one should struggle alone.

Motley’s Mission provides help with the day-to-day home life activities that overwhelm a family in crisis. Daily tasks such as meal preparation, general home maintenance and completing time sensitive personal errands which are often pushed to the bottom of the list and forgotten. When a family member is suffering from a mental health crisis, the entire family is impacted. Motley’s Mission is dedicated to supporting families who are affected by a loved one’s mental health battles.

Motley’s Mission is incredibly grateful to have been included in your amazing weekend of interleague play at the 2025 Motley’s Mashup. It was such an honor to be part of a fun, family-filled event that truly celebrated the spirit of community and youth sports.

We loved having the chance to share our mission, connect with local families, and cheer on all the talented players. Thank you, Lower Perk, for welcoming us and supporting what we do—it means so much to our team and the families we serve.

Here’s to teamwork, on and off the field! 🙌

This weekend is our 5th Annual Motley Mashup… a tradition started in 2021 in memory of LP parent, friend, former Board member, and coach Cliff Motley. Cliff lost his battle with mental health in the summer of 2020. Nearly 1 in 5 American adults suffer a mental health illness in a year.

The Motley Mashup is a fun event for the kids and parents to help get our teams ready for District play, but more importantly, to raise awareness for mental health. Today would have been Cliff’s 50th birthday. It’s hard to put into words the weight of missing someone who had such an impact on so many others. Cliff had a heart that could light up a room, and even though he’s no longer here, his memory still lives on in the stories, laughter, and music he shared.

Mental health struggles are real and often invisible, and we carry the hope that we can all be kinder to one another, speak openly, and support each other through the darkness.
