Kati's Family Care

I am a Certified End-of-Life Doula with 9 years of experience caring for loved ones and their families during this difficult time. I began in the medical field as a Certified Medical Assistant at Heart Stations doing pre-admission surgery testing for patients. I have 20 years of experience working with patients in a hospital setting as well as in doctor’s offices. During this time, my Mom suffered a stroke and I moved into her home to care for her. While caring for my Mom it became apparent to me that she needed someone to advocate for her. After my Mom passed away, I decided that I wanted to help others in the same way that I helped my Mother. By not just caring for her but also being her advocate so she was not left to try to navigate the medical industry and its sometimes confusing and complicated logistics alone. My years of experience provide loved ones and their families with someone who can communicate with busy medical teams and relay the information in a way that assists family members in understanding what is happening during this time, the issues we deal with, and ways to resolve anything that may come up. Kati’s Family Care believes in working with the families - not just for them – because death is a fearful and heartbreaking time, and it requires compassion and caring for all involved.
