Come on out to the Collins Christmas on Main event this Saturday, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Bring your family and friends to the Community Center for the Soup Supper. All free will donations will be given to the nonprofit, Wings of Refuge in Ames, Iowa. Their mission is to help women build a beautiful life after being trafficked and exploited.

Introducing Jenny English, CWC member and small business owner. Her work dovetails with our mission at Collins Wellness Center to make our community healthy - one individual at a time.

Hi Everyone! 👋🏻



My name is Jenny English, and I am excited to serve the community as the newest member of the CWC Wellness board. I'm a health and nutrition coach at A Well+Fed Life. I'm all about empowering people to own their health through diet & exercise, education, and community support.



A little bit about me…I am from a small town like this one (LeGrand, IA) and a proud ISU graduate for my bachelor's and master's degrees. Go Cyclones! I served in the Iowa Army National Guard for 9 years with 1 deployment and spent the last 10 years in animal health research. I recently moved to Maxwell and have been enjoying the Wellness Center for the past 6 months so you may have seen me in passing. 🙂



I just finished up my last season of natural bodybuilding and am excited to start getting strong again in the gym and creating more fun recipes in the kitchen because I LOVE food!



If you see me around please say "Hi!" and introduce yourself! I love meeting new people and look forward to supporting the wellness of the community here. I will be helping with the annual Soup Supper for Collins Christmas on Main as well and would love to see you there!

COLLINS DAYS starts TONIGHT! The theme this year is "141... and still having fun!" Collins is 141 years young! The festivities start tonight with the Outdoor Family Movie Night at Trailside Park, with Fireworks to follow! Tomorrow is jam packed with fun for the whole family! Breakfast, lunch, and supper at the Community Center, Historical Society open house, parade, kids activities, car and tractor show, deadlift competition, high school girls softball tournament, homemade ice cream social, Becca the Balloon Lady at the Wright Learning Center, side x side ride, face painting, high school girls soccer fundraiser, live music, raffle, just to name a few! Activities wrap up on Sunday with the Community Church Service. Attached to this email is the Collins Days flyer as well as flyers for some of the individual events.

*Note- the Senior Baseball Game scheduled for tomorrow night has been cancelled due to the possibility of rain. We hope to have them on the schedule again next year!

A NuStep Crosstrainer is the latest piece of equipment offered at Collins Wellness Center. It gives a heart-pumping good workout.

Need to do physical therapy exercises, but don't feel like driving to Ankeny, Ames, or even Nevada? Stay local and do it here at CWC, you'll save gas and time.

*Monthly = $20.00
3 Month Pre-Pay = $69 ($23/month)
6 Month Pre-Pay = $132 ($22/month)
12 Month Pre-Pay = ($264 - 5% discount) = $250.80 ($20.90/month)

Married Couple Membership Fees
*Monthly = $25.00
3 Month Pre-Pay = $84 ($28/month)
6 Month Pre-Pay = $162 ($27/month)
12 Month Pre-Pay = ($324 x 5% off) = $307.80 ($25.65/month)

Family Membership Fees
*Monthly = $30.00
3 Month Pre-Pay = $99 ($33/month)
6 Month Pre-Pay = $192 ($32/month)
12 Month Pre-Pay = ($384 minus 5% off) = $364.80 ($30.40/month)

*Monthly rates are available to citizens of the City of Collins when they opt to add their CWC membership fees to their utility bill.

Notice: Mindful Movement class is on Sunday evenings from 5:30 - 6:30 at Collins Wellness Center. Message to join in. Cost is $5 per class. Members pay $15/month for four sessions when paid in advance.

This is wellness care for mind and body. Mindful Movement class incorporates stretching for flexibility, static poses for muscle strengthening, balance, foam rolling, stability ball work, breathing and relaxation exercises. The class is in a low stress environment with soft music, nice smells, and others who just want to feel better.
