Coming back round & finding my groove again 😮‍💨

Been a wild year already with the move, a lot of family stuff and new work. Have definitely put training, racing and being online on the back burner. To be honest, I’ve kind of enjoyed flying under the radar for a while 😂

Feeling ready to feel like a BA again in all my favorite gear!

An object in motion stays in motion 🔄

start over • start small • start late • start slow

I talk to people everyday who want to make changes to their health, their life and how they feel about themselves, but are frozen by fear or indecision. There is no perfect time, but simply starting SMALL with things that feel feasible will make you feel so much better over time!

Getting back into my routine since moving has been a VERY slow process. I started with walks, easy bike rides, body weight strength and slowly built back from there. Starting to feel like myself again little by little and I’m so grateful I didn’t rush it.

Getting enough sunshine in winter can be tricky, but I recommend getting as much sunshine when you can on your back, legs or stomach - those parts of your body absorb higher quantities of Vitamin D!

One of the first things to go as we age is grip strength! As your grip strength declines, your muscle mass declines along with your mental cognition (and your hormones - but that’s another topic for another day!) They often go hand in hand.

Two of the most common responses I get during consultations for reasons why someone wants a coach are;
1. They want to feel good about themselves / feel good in their body!
2. They want to age well / be able to do amazing things like go on hikes when they’re 80 🙌

Most people know where to start and are tired of feeling crummy in their body and that’s why I love what I do! I love helping people feel confident in the gym and be confident doing what they love to do outside of the gym without hurting themselves!

Proving others wrong can be fun, but it’s more fun doing things to show gratitude to those who gave you life!

For a long time, most of my drive came from wanting to prove SO many people in my life wrong. With that often comes some bitterness, and that bitterness wares on you.

Swipe to see my transformation from when I started running… hardly recognize myself!

I started running in my early twenties after I was done competing in college (not running) and had NO idea what I was doing. I was just running sporadically and not eating well. For about two years, I took a break from running because I got bored and felt stagnant.

Flash forward, I decided I wanted to become a GOOD runner, so two years ago I hired an incredible coach who pushes me every single week to do paces / workouts I never thought I could do!

I program all of my own running specific strength training. That has also been key to keeping me healthy AND I have dialed in my nutrition. Being a helps 🙃 if you’re a runner who needs help with strength training & nutrition - shoot me a DM 🌿
