There are some interesting differences between hand soap and hand sanitizer for skin health. While both are effective in maintaining hygiene, hand soap tends to be less harsh on your skin when used regularly compared to many alcohol-based sanitizers. Sanitizer is good in a pinch, but try to wash your hands with soap and water if possible to reduce irritation. skincancerandderm.com

Skin conditions like eczema are not only common in young children. Adults can develop the condition later in life, even after age 50. It's called adult-onset atopic dermatitis. This condition often manifests as itchy, inflamed skin and can be triggered by factors like stress, allergens, or changes in climate. Consulting a dermatologist can help manage symptoms and provide relief through personalized treatment.

Adults can get any type of eczema, including atopic dermatitis (AD), which many people consider a childhood disease.
