An explanation of why blue light is both good and bad for you
Visible light is made up of many wavelengths (colours). Blue light is the wavelength which is most powerful in disrupting your body’s rhythms at night. In the day time, this wavelength boosts attention, reaction times and moods and is thus beneficial. At night, they are disruptive to your body clock. Looks like our ancestors’ policy of ‘sunrise to sundown’ was the best.
