Beyond New Years Resolutions: Goals with Intent
What is your intension? Gain fitness? Eat Healthier? Have deeper relationships? Be more joyous? Increased motivation? Don't know where to start?
Here is a few things you can do to set goals that you will stick to:
First do a quick analysis of the different aspects of your life:
Physical health, spirituality, mental health, emotional health, family life, career, social, financial, business
Did you find an area that you want to work on? Lets continue.
What is your Goal? Write it down. Fine tune it and be specific.
Next answer the following questions:
Why? The intent of the goal. Why do it, and what are the benefits?
Who? Who do you want to take with you? Who do you need to help you achieve the goal?
When? When are you going to achieve this by?
How are we going to know when the goal is met?
What are the obstacles that could detour you?
Where? Do you need to be in a specific location?
Do you need to break it down into babysteps? What methods will you use?
Visualize and Feel Close your eyes and see yourself having completed your goal. How does it feel, what do you look like? Do this before you go to sleep and before you get out of bed.
Commitment/Accountability Are you willing to commit? Are there any consequences if you do or do not complete your goal. Are you willing to sign on the line? I, __________ commit to the above stated goal(s) that I have set for myself.
