On Monday, December 2, the Colorado Avalanche made their annual holiday visit to Children’s Hospital Colorado. Each December, the players, coaches ice girls and mascot Bernie visit the young patients at Children’s Colorado in an effort to lift their spirits during the holiday season. This visit marks the 16th year of this Avalanche tradition. The players and coaches visited patient rooms, distributed Bernie plush animals, signed autographs, took pictures with the children and their families and, most importantly, talked with the kids and their parents to help brighten their day.
