By day, she’s a family medicine clinician: Lola. She's the kind who can go from counseling a worried parent, to managing chronic conditions, to interpreting a lab result before her coffee even cools.

Like a showgirl, her day is a performance in carefully choreographed acts: the pre-visit prep is her backstage warm-up, each patient encounter is an on-stage number, and the EMR charting marathon is the long-running encore no one claps for. She swaps feathered headdresses for N95s, quick costume changes for sprinting between exam rooms, and applause for a grateful “thank you” from a patient who finally feels heard.

Behind the scenes, she’s just as committed to her craft as any performer- blocking off time to attend A-Cross conferences to keep her knowledge fresh, her practice aligned with the latest guidelines, and her skills as sharp as the high notes in a showstopper ballad.

Her makeup might be a little smudged by the end of the day (thank you, PPE), but like any great performer, she keeps her smile ready, her wit sharp, and her energy dialed up because her audience deserves her best. And yes, her soundtrack is pure Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour playing in her car on the way to work, “Shake It Off” blasting between patients, and “Anti-Hero” queued up for those days when the to-do list looks impossible.

Every chart closed is a final bow, every patient cared for is a standing ovation, and every Friday afternoon feels like closing night—until the curtain rises again Monday morning.
