📢📢📢ATTENTION BUSINESS OWNERS AND SUPPORTERS 📢📢📢

It’s Midlands Gives season, and Dianne’s Call needs your support.

Midlands Gives is a statewide campaign that helps nonprofits like Dianne’s Call raise funds for initiatives and community outreach events like our Annual Kids Farm trip.

This trip is essential to our program that allows children to experience local farms and inspire the next generation of farmers!

You can support by donating any dollar amount and/or by offering a discount for goods, products, or services through your business. Preferably 10%-25%.

This will also help us to bring exposure to your business and keep our network of businesses thriving!

If you’d like to become a part of this effort, you can join our Farmasis Business Directory and we’ll also use this directory for future events so that our community knows who to shop with locally!

Thank you for your support in advance!

Additional information can be found on the flyers.

Wow, what an experience!

Loved learning from Tatrina at The Purple Mushroom urban farm in Columbia!

It's not every day you get to see how mushrooms are grown, right?

Tatrina shared so much knowledge and showed us her beautiful farm with all the different species.

We even got to learn how to start our own grow kits!

Check out this recap video for a glimpse into the fascinating world of urban mushroom farming.

The FarmaSis Monthly Meeting will be held online on Monday, April 20th at 7:00pm EST. This month's presenter is Nikki Pressley.

Nikki Pressley is a grower and creator based near Durham, NC, but whose family roots are in South Carolina. She has been growing food over the past 10 years, first in California and now in NC.

Currently, as Small Rain Farm, Nikki focuses on selling vegetable/herb starts, as well as perennials, to gardeners and other small farmers. She has a growing interest and body of work in seed growing, both for seed companies and for creating a regionally adapted seed library for her own nursery production.

Nikki has nurtured her commitment to supporting and connecting with small farmers, particularly farmers of color, through her own farming project, working in farmer communities, and, more recently, working with farm-focused non-profits. She is the co-founder and Communications and Farm Initiative Director at Persimmon Collective Fund.
