Are you enrolled in a TRICARE Prime plan? If you see a primary care manager at a military hospital or clinic, you may now have a new way to get urgent care.

The Defense Health Agency has expanded its virtual urgent care options in the U.S. This allows TRICARE Prime enrollees ages 12 and older to schedule virtual urgent care through the Military Health System Nurse Advice Line.

The most common type of heart disease is CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE (CAD). It's a buildup of plaque (fats, cholesterol, and other substances) that gathers on the walls of your arteries over time.

It can lead to tightness of the chest, extreme fatigue during normal activities, and worse- a heart attack. 😮

The risk factors for developing CAD are:
✔ an inactive lifestyle
✔ obesity (which could be from 👆)
✔ high cholesterol
✔ high blood pressure
✔ smoking
✔ history of CAD in your family

Are you at risk? Make an appointment with your provider for a checkup and blood tests.

We are proud to celebrate American Heart Month throughout February and invite everyone to join us in recognizing this important cause!

This month’s theme, “Be the help until help arrives,” highlights the lifesaving impact of early action and basic life support.

Our team will be available to demonstrate basic life support skills on the following dates, places, and times:

February 6 in the Moncrief Main Lobby from 12–1 p.m.
February 10 at the Post Exchange from 12–1 p.m.
February 17 at the Mini Mall from 12–1 p.m.
February 24 at the Commissary from 12–1 p.m.
