The 2025 guidelines are reshaping the standard of care and best practice for patients across the patient populous. There are lots of rumors, ideas, and “I’ve heards…” floating around after the full release. We need to remember that the AHA release are guidelines. Guidelines are created around data and scientific research. As providers we have an obligation to read and understand what’s coming down the pipes.

The 2025 AHA Guidelines are here, and they bring real, practice-changing updates. From neonatal airway management to adult resuscitation strategies, these revisions reflect the latest science in saving lives.

Our sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to our friends, colleagues, brothers, and sisters at Vanderbilt LifeFlight. We work closely with this group and our lives and communities intertwine so often. When tragedy shakes our community we can only lift one another up and support each other through the difficult times.

🚑 National Scope of Practice Model Update – AEMT Update 🚑

In 2022, the Initial Education Committee developed slide decks to help with the update. Since that time, most Instructor Coordinators have received the update. However, some have not and others have expressed an interest in wanting and update/refresher.
