Ohio Parent to Parent (P2P)

No parent should ever feel alone. Ohio Parent to Parent (Ohio P2P) is a statewide parent support program. It matches parents, siblings, self-advocates, foster parents, grandparents, etc. who have a family member, of any age, with a disability or special health care need, with an experienced, trained, volunteer support parent. The support parent provides support on needs and issues related to parenting and providing care to a loved one with a disability or special healthcare need. Support is provided via email, phone, virtual communication (e.g. Skype, Zoom, etc.) and/or in-person. Feel like you can use support from someone who has 'been there?' Reach out to P2P today.

N-95 masks, which provide the most protection against COVID-19, are now available from the U.S. Government at no charge. The masks are being distributed through retail grocery stores Kroger and Meijer in central Ohio. They will also soon be available at CVS and Walgreens drug stores. Depending on the business, the masks could be located near the pharmacy or at the store's inside entrance. There is a limit of three free masks per household at a time.

Can you believe it’s been three years since the Communication Disability Law took effect?

The law allows individuals with a medically diagnosed communication disability to enroll in a database to make law enforcement aware that the driver or a passenger may have difficulty communicating. So far, more than 1,200 license plates have opted in. 🚗 bit.ly/31kx1NC

The Franklin County Office on Aging has extended its free home delivered meals for Franklin County residents ages 60+ through March 31, 2022! They will not require income verification to receive home delivered meals during this time.
