🚨Due to the ongoing government shutdown, SNAP and Medicaid benefits may soon be paused.🚨

KYC’s Resource Center expects an increased need for food and basic supplies among LGBTQIA+ youth who depend on these programs for their basic needs.
If you’re able, please consider donating:
🍞 Canned goods & pantry items (also frozen meals & fresh fruits and vegetables - please reach out to housing@kycohio.org to coordinate donation)
🧼 Hygiene items (especially Black and sensitive hair care, body wipes, shaving cream, non-alcohol mouth wash)
💳 Grocery store gift cards

📍 Drop off at Kaleidoscope Youth Center (603 E Town Street) during open hours, M-F 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

We're not going anywhere.

You might feel overwhelmed, or scared. Maybe even defeated, or having thoughts of despair. We're a q***r and trans org, staffed by q***r and trans people, supporting q***r and trans youth; we understand. Whatever you're feeling, it's okay. Please, take care of yourselves and each other.

We're monitoring all the things as best we can, and we're working with our coalition partners to help boost and share the information you need.

We're also finding joy in community. We're building programming and activities to bring us together. We're building a safer space where you will always belong.

➡ Youth between 12 - 20 can join us Tuesdays - Fridays beginning at 3:30pm.
➡ Are you 18 - 24? We have hangs just for you!
➡ Families with youth 12 and under - you can join us once a month on Saturdays!
➡ Are you a parent of a q***r or trans youth looking for your own peer support? You can also join us once a month on Saturdays!
➡We also have free therapy; wraparound services; and housing opportunities!

Happy pride month!

Happy Pride Month! We wish everyone a month of celebration, happiness, and action to protect the rights of LGBTQIA folks. Help us stop Ohio HB 8 that would try to require school personnel to "out" gender diverse kids to their parents, effectively ending confidentiality rights for school social workers: https://www.votervoice.net/NASWOH/Campaigns/116019/Respond. We'll see Cleveland social workers today at Pride in the CLE!
