We’re thrilled to be part of the National Conference on Gambling Addiction & Responsible Gambling, taking place July 16–18 at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus!

Maryhaven’s Abdullah Mahmood, PG Intervention Coordinator and PGNO board member, will be speaking passionately about early warning signs and clinical strategies in the digital betting world.

Our own Janet Thode, Gambling Prevention Coordinator, and Elisa - a social work grad and former intern now serving clients at Maryhaven - will also be joining the conversation.

They’re engaging with experts and media from across the country to raise awareness and strengthen recovery pathways.

This national spotlight underlines our commitment to prevention, education, and compassionate care for those impacted right here in Central Ohio.

At our Bi-Annual Program Team Meeting, Maryhaven staff came together for a day of team building, collaboration, and vision casting using the SOAR framework (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results).

It was a powerful day full of insight, energy, and purpose as we plan for an even better client and staff experience in 2026.

A special congratulations to Dante Freeman, our 2025 Nurse of the Year, whose compassion and commitment inspire us all.
