We had an awesome time joining Make-A-Day for their Pop-Up Care Village event! It was incredible to see so many organizations come together to provide food, haircuts, resources, and more in such a warm, welcoming environment. Our hearts were full seeing the venue packed with people; clear proof that this work truly makes a difference. 🤝

Basecamp had the opportunity to attend the inspiring h.a.r.t. Graduation last week. The h.a.r.t. program addresses the needs of defendants who struggle with opioid use and whose history of treatment noncompliance or refusal has led to criminal charges. By offering effective treatment as an alternative to incarceration, h.a.r.t. works to improve quality of life and strengthen community safety through court oversight and connections to appropriate treatment and service providers.

Thank you to Judge Jodi Thomas for leading such an extraordinary ceremony and for your continued dedication to giving members of our community the second chance they deserve.

November’s Island Party reminded us what community really looks like. This month, we introduced our new Walk-In to Recovery opportunity, making it easier than ever for individuals to come directly to Basecamp and begin treatment when they’re ready.

A huge thank you to RN Jeremy and Dr. Izzy Ahmed for being onsite, answering questions, and helping people understand what treatment can look like. And a heartfelt shoutout to all our incredible community partners who continue to show up, support one another, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

Together we are building a community where hope is accessible, help and support is within reach, and everyone has someone cheering them on.

🌴 Monday’s the day! Join us for our November Island Party at Basecamp Recovery Center.

We’ll be collecting mylar blankets and offering Walk In To Recovery, where anyone can come in and start treatment right away. No appointment, no judgment-just hope. 💙

Madison Health hosted an Open House celebrating our Withdrawal Management partnership, and it was an incredible day of connection and learning. Guests enjoyed tours, heard from inspiring speakers, and received valuable information about addiction, detox options, Madison Health's nine (9) minute door to doctor benefit, all while enjoying some delicious snacks.

This event gave our team the opportunity to share personal stories, highlight community challenges, and strengthen relationships with others who share our mission of supporting recovery and wellness in our community.

A heartfelt thank-you to Sheriff Baldwin for speaking about the work being done in Franklin County; to Dr. Izzy and RN Jeremy for sharing important insights about the Withdrawal Management program; and to Kimmie for courageously sharing her story or recovery. And a huge thank-you to Cindy and the team at Madison Health for hosting such an impactful and meaningful event! 💙

🎃 Happy Halloween from Basecamp!

Our Spooky Island Party was an absolute blast! With nearly 90 meals served by Make-A-Day, we’re thrilled to see how much our outreach continues to grow through these monthly events. We’re especially grateful to help provide meals for those in need during this challenging time, as many face reduced government support due to the shutdown.

Friends from all around joined us in their best costumes to show their support for our community, got creative in the pumpkin decorating contest, and celebrated the spooky season together. 👻

A huge thank-you to everyone who came out to make the event so memorable. We can’t wait to see you all again next month! 🧡
