Your “cheer specific” workouts should include:

1. Lifting heavy enough to see adaptations
2. Explosive work
3. Accessories to build muscle, improve balance, coordination, position specific weakness, etc
4. Mobility and flexibility

“Cheer-specific” workouts you should stay away from:

1. Flyers stretching while bases lift
2. Zumba / Cardio only
3. Pilates / yoga only
4. Plyometrics only
5. Ankle weights jump circuit
6. “Stunting” with weights
