Did you know that there are hundreds, maybe even thousands, of mint varieties? I literally want to grow/try all of them 😩😊 I’m starting off strong with the nine that I have growing in my backyard: Apple, Candy, Catnip, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lime, Orange, Pineapple, and Strawberry. I have access to a tenth variety (Peppermint) down the street in a community garden that is managed by the 👩🏽🌾🌱🙌🏽
I expanded my number of mint plants so that I could add depth and range to my selection of herbal teas.
The benefits of mint include easing the stomach, calming “bad nerves” (as we say in the Black community), and refreshing the spirit.
Mint tea — whether served hot or cold — has cooling effects, hence why I included it in my blend.
Mint is actually in three of my MM tea blends.
Come to the farmers market this Sunday to make@your selections 🙌🏽
