One of the reasons I began this yoga journey…

was the realization that we as a people are often living in survival mode.

We are carrying generations of stress.
Of resilience.
Of “keep going no matter what.”

And while that strength is powerful
it has also left many of us dis-regulated.

Constantly on edge.
Holding our breath.
Bracing ourselves for what’s next.

But hear me clearly, hesr me good:

✨ You deserve a regulated nervous system.
✨ You deserve rest without guilt.
✨ You deserve to simply BE.

That kind of ease is not reserved for suburban lifestyles or curated wellness spaces.

It belongs to US ALL.

Because before yoga became a trend…
before it was commercialized and curated…

it was rooted in ancient practices of connection, breath, and presence;
practices that align deeply with the rhythms of the African diaspora:
breath, movement, community, spirit.

And yet somewhere along the way,
we were distanced from stillness.

Told, directly or indirectly;
that rest is laziness.
That slowing down is unsafe.
That we must always be “on.”

But the truth is…

The weight we carry;
historical, generational, personal,
is exactly why we need yoga.

We need spaces to exhale.
To soften.
To come back home to ourselves.

To intentionally BREATHE.

Not because life is easy;
but because it isn’t.

So in this space,
we practice regulation.
We practice presence.
We practice reclaiming ease.

Together.

BREATHE, beloved.

I had the honor of stepping onto a college campus to lead yoga, and my heart is FULL. 🧘🏾‍♀️✨

Being commissioned to guide this practice is more than a class… it’s a reminder that wellness, healing, and safe spaces belong to ALL of us, especially in environments where stress, pressure, and transition are real.

I’m especially grateful to partner with URGE a movement rooted in empowering individuals to Unite For Reproductive & Gender Equity. That mission aligns so deeply with the work I carry in every space I enter.

And during Black Maternal Health Week, this moment holds even greater meaning. Because this week is about advocacy, awareness, and action, but it’s also about care. It’s about creating spaces where Black bodies can rest, breathe, and be supported holistically. The same principles we center in maternal health, listening to our bodies, honoring our needs, and prioritizing wellness, are the same principles we’ll ground in this practice today.

This is bigger than yoga.
This is restoration.
This is community care.

Grateful to pour into this space and hold it with intention.

I’m Siobhan, and I’m excited to introduce Yoga with Siobhan 🌿
I’m officially a Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT-200), and this page is a space rooted in breath, rest, growth, and coming back home to yourself.

Yoga has been a journey of healing, resilience, and self-trust for me; and now I’m honored to share that journey with you. Whether you’re here for gentle movement, restorative rest, reflection, or simply a reminder to pause… you belong here.

This is just the beginning, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead from classes, to building community, and all of the moments of grounding along the way.
