Hello, my name is Alisha Phillips. I am a Master-level Licensed Social Worker with a passion for supporting children, youth, and adolescents on their journey toward emotional wellness and personal growth. I bring several years of experience providing counseling services within school systems, where I’ve had the privilege of working closely with young individuals, navigating a wide range of challenges.

My clinical experience includes working with children and teens dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma. I take a compassionate, strengths-based approach to therapy, meeting clients where they are and empowering them with the tools they need to thrive both emotionally and mentally. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where youth feel seen, heard, and understood.

Whether it's helping a child manage overwhelming emotions, supporting a teen through a difficult life transition, or partnering with families to create lasting change, I am committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the clients I serve.

Day 30: Stress Awareness Month

Taking care of your mental health shouldn't stop here.

Stress doesn't take a break—so why should your self-care?

Here's how you can prioritize stress reduction all year long:

1. Daily Check-Ins: Take 5–10 minutes every day to check in with yourself. Journal, breathe, or simply sit in silence.

2. Move Your Body: Exercise is a powerful stress reliever. Aim for 30 minutes of walking, yoga, or movement you enjoy at least 3–5 times a week.

3. Digital Detox: Unplug for at least 30 minutes each day. No screens—just presence.

4. Say No More Often: Protect your energy by setting healthy boundaries.

5. Talk It Out: Don’t bottle it up. Regularly connect with someone you trust—or consider a therapist.

6. Celebrate Small Wins: Even the little steps forward matter. Honor them.

Your peace is your power—protect it.

Day 29: Stress Awareness Month

Journal: What new habits or insight dis you gain this month?

This month, I’ve learned that stress isn’t always loud — sometimes it hides in our routines, our self-talk, or the pressure we quietly carry.

New habits I’ve embraced:

Starting each day with 10 minutes of mindful silence

Setting boundaries without guilt

Replacing "I have to" with "I get to"

Biggest insight:
Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish — it’s essential.

Day 28: Stress Awareness Month

Write a love letter to yourself.

What do you appreciate about YOU?

Dear Me,
Thank you for the way you carry yourself even when the weight feels heavy.

I love the way you stay soft in a world that often tries to harden you.

I appreciate your resilience — how you bend but don’t break, how you rest when needed without giving up.

I’m proud of the little moments you celebrate and the big feelings you honor.

You are more than your stress. You are a whole universe of kindness, creativity, and strength.

I see you. I’m grateful for you. I love you.

Celebrate yourself today. You are worthy of love, especially your own.

Day 27: Stress Awareness Month

It's OK to celebrate your wins.

I'm taking a moment to celebrate myself.
Every task I finished, every time I asked for help, every break I took instead of burning out — it all counts.

Big or small, I did that.

Managing stress isn’t always easy, but every step toward balance is a victory.
Here’s to honoring the progress we often overlook. One moment at a time."

DAY 26: April is Stress Awareness Month!

As the month wraps up, take a moment to reflect:

What is one thing you've learned about yourself this month?

Maybe you realized how strong you are, how important rest is, or that it’s okay to ask for help. Growth often hides in the moments we least expect.

Share your reflection in the comments — you never know who might feel seen because of your story.

Day 25: Stress Awareness Month

Laugh it off!

Laughter isn’t just a quick mood boost — it’s a powerful stress reducer.

Here’s why you should laugh more:

Relaxes the whole body

Boosts your immune system

Triggers feel-good endorphins

Protects the heart by improving blood flow

Helps you shift perspective and lighten up

Take a moment today to watch a funny video, share a joke, or laugh with a friend. Your mind and body will thank you!

Day 23: Stress Awareness Month

Self-compassion

If you were your own friend, what would you say right now?

Would you tell them they’re a failure for having a rough day?
Would you shame them for feeling tired or not being “productive enough”?

No. You’d probably say:
“Hey, it’s okay. You’re doing your best. You don’t have to carry everything alone.”

You’d remind them they’re human. Deserving of rest. Of grace. Of love—especially from themselves.

So maybe today, just for a moment, try speaking to yourself like you would a friend.
