In the late 1990s, Dr Marc Heeg studied Zen Shiatsu in Kyoto, Japan with Sensei Mareko Kasugai, student of founder Sensei Masunaga. His studio name (Mun sasayaki chiyu no tame no dojo, "Moon whispers, Dojo for healing") was inspired by his teacher. After further US training and receiving American certification from the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in Tucson, Marc apprenticed himself to a s

Myriad interests and continued studies included other Oriental healing modalities, world Shamanistic traditions, classical Japanese and Chinese aesthetic practices, and Oriental spirituality. Marc has taught Shiatsu, Chinese medicine, and Qi cultivation around the world. As with traditional Daoist masters cultivating music and medicine, Marc also holds a doctorate in Music (DMA -CU-Boulder 1995), as well as a Doctorate in Divinity (DDIV - Universal Light Church 2013), and is an ordained minister. After many years traveling and working around the world, Marc has returned recently to his family roots in Ohio. A genuinely compassionate healer blending Oriental wisdom with holistic healing traditions and intuitively divined insight, Marc provides revealing health assessments and recommendations for his clients, leading to greater balance and contentment in body, mind, and spirit.
