THE PATCHWORK OF PRIDE QUILT PROJECT
In light of the current climate in our society, it is more important than ever for us to come together as a community and demonstrate our unwavering support for each other. With that in mind…
We are excited to launch our "Patchwork of Pride" community quilt project, and we are seeking your support and generosity to bring this vision to life.
The "Patchwork of Pride" quilt project aims to unite our diverse community in a collective expression of solidarity, acceptance, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights.
Each quilt block will be created by individuals or organizations from our community, representing their unique stories, struggles, and triumphs.
Together, these blocks will form powerful tapestries that symbolizes our commitment to equality and inclusivity.
To make this project a reality, we are reaching out to compassionate individuals and organizations who share our passion for social justice and human rights.
Your support will help us secure the necessary materials, including fabric, thread, quilting supplies.
Here are some ways you can contribute to the "Patchwork of Pride" project:
1. Monetary Donations: Financial contributions will be used to purchase supplies and cover project-related expenses.
2. In-Kind Donations: We welcome donations of materials, fabric, sewing machines, and other supplies.
3. Sponsorship: Consider becoming a project sponsor.
We believe that the "Patchwork of Pride" quilt will serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of standing together in support of LGBTQ+ rights.
By contributing to this project, you will be making a tangible difference in the lives of many and helping to create a more inclusive and accepting community.
Work on the quilt will take place at the Greater Dayton LGBT Center beginning on March 1, 2025 at 11:30am – 3:00pm.
For more information or to donate contact the Center: Email: pride@daytonlgbtcenter.org
The completed Quilts will be displayed in the Center throughout Pride Month in June.
