With over 15 years of experience serving children, teens, adults, and families across diverse settings—including hospitals, schools, nursing homes, and private practice, she has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to her community. Ms. Rowlett’s dedication to improving the lives of those she serves, along with her leadership in Region 1, make her an invaluable part of our NASW Ohio team. Happy Birthday to Sonnie Mikulka, NASW Ohio Region 4 Co-Director! Join us in celebrating Sonnie Mikulka, an emerging leader and passionate advocate in the Youngstown area. As the director of the Family Success Network at Help Network of Northeast Ohio, she brings over seven years of experience supporting individuals and families navigating trauma, mental health challenges, and substance use. We are grateful for her leadership in Region 4 and wish her a wonderful year ahead!

Congratulations to NASW Ohio Chapter Executive Director Danielle Smith

There aren't words that feel sufficient to express the level of gratitude we have for our long-time Board Member (and Treasurer) Danielle Smith. Now as she passes the torch, we want to take time to tell everyone how genuinely lucky we are to be in community with her, learning from her wisdom, leadership, humility, and fire.

From our staff & Board: We're so deeply honored to have spent the last 11 years learning from and alongside you. This won't be the last time our paths cross, and we hope you get SO much rest and relaxation before your next adventure.

Join NASW Ohio for a crisp and cozy fall gathering! We'll meet at Patterson’s Orchard on Saturday, September 6th, at 11 a.m. to pick our own apples straight from the trees. Afterward, we’ll drive over to Patterson’s Farm Market just a few minutes away, where our NASW regions will treat attendees to fresh cider and doughnuts (while supplies last).

This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow social workers, enjoy the beauty of early fall, and support local agriculture.
