Welcome home Goldie! Goldie came home yesterday, and as she was settling in, I was reminded of a few different things. The most important thing I was reminded of is patience! Although she did great overall getting loaded into the trailer and being able to regulate her nervous system, it still takes time! It takes time to deepen that felt sense of safety when you are venturing into unknown territory. It takes time to create trust and intimacy in relationships. And it's not just waiting out the time that builds those things - it's the patience in trusting the process that gets you going where you need to.

I wonder how often it is as people that we feel the need to rush these things?
