Wellness Forum Hot Yoga Hot yoga is a very specific type of yoga involving 26 poses, all of which are performed twice in a 90-minute class. Coming to your first hot yoga class? Great!

The room is kept at 105 degrees, and a humidifier is used in order to keep the room hot, and promote sweating and detoxification. Read these pointers:
• Drink proper amounts of water, 64 oz per day
• Refrain from eating a meal at least 2 hours before class. Refrain from eating dairy products.
• Bring water {we sell Fiji water 2 for $5 at the studio}
• Bring a mat {we rent mats for $1 at the studio

}
• Bring a large towel to place on your mat {we rent for $2 at the studio}
• Wear clothes you are comfortable moving and sweating in

❓️Can a Plant-Based Diet Really Increase Stroke Risk?

Not So Fast...🐢

A recent study has stirred controversy by suggesting vegetarians may have a higher risk of stroke—but a deeper dive into this study reveals flaws in the data and misleading headlines.

The study relied heavily on self-reported food intake - think: 🤔“How many cups of spinach did you eat last year?” LOL - no clue if you're honest❗️

Researchers also lumped vegans with vegetarians, and didn’t account for unhealthy plant-based junk or cholesterol-laden foods.🍟🧁🍕

Bottom line: The diets in the study were more similar than different—don’t let shaky science shake your healthy habits. 🌱
