š· Spring Has SprungāProtect Your Spine While You Plant! š±
Before you dive into marathon mulching, give your back the same TLC you give your roses.
š” Pro Tips:
- Use a kneeling pad or garden stool. Keep your chest lifted and hinge from the hips, not the waist.
- When lifting a heavy pot: hug the pot, bend the knees, brace your core, and pivot with your feetānot your spine.
- Repetitive oneāsided raking & pulling strains the midāback. So alternate sides every 10 strokes. Shorten the handle to keep elbows close.
-Don't overload your wheelbarrow which forces you into a forward lean. Make two lighter trips instead of one heroic haul.
- If you feel a twinge, stop and stretchādonāt push through the pain. A single āIāll just finish this bedā moment can blossom into weeks of lowāback misery.
At Alexander Chiropractic, weāre all about keeping you bending, lifting, and planting paināfreeāso your flowers are the only things popping this spring.š¼
