SEO Fights Against ALS

Dear Community,

It is with a heavy heart that we are writing to let you know that as of now we will be putting a halt to our SEO Fights Against ALS walk to defeat ALS. You may still see some presence on our social media pages and see a few small pop up fundraisers in the future.

We are immensely proud of what our organization has been able to achieve over the course of the last 8 years. With the outpouring of love & generous community support we have been able to donate over $133,000 to the ALS Association Central & Southern Ohio Chapter; a non-profit organization very dear to our hearts. Those donations have been used to directly benefit those within our very own communities that have been impacted by this horrible disease.

We strongly encourage you to continue your support to the local ALS chapter in Columbus as they are a much needed resource for those living with ALS, their caregivers and families. Information for the Chapter and ways to show your support can be found at the following links:

ADVOCACY UPDATE: the House Labor-HHS and FDA Appropriations bills fund the Act providing $75M for expanded access grants for therapy research at National Institutes of Health (NIH) and $5M to fund the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Orphan Products Grants Program. The Committee also included our language directing to fund clinical trials and invest in speeding the approval of ALS treatments.

This is a big win for the ALS community in support of our search for treatments and a cure for . Thank you to the hundreds of who helped secure this funding!

We are happy to be back this year and at a new location. Whether you choose to walk or sit & socialize, stay the entire event or just stop by for a moment to show your support we hope to see you there!

We will be hosting the walk at Burr Oak Lodge (Shelter House).
Event starts at 10 with the walk kicking off at 11. Luncheon to follow.

Why we walk 🎗❤️

These are our loved ones. Our family, our friends, our fellow community members. Their lives and the lives of their families forever changed and impacted by ALS. I encourage you to take a few moments to read about who they were. These amazing people fought such a hard battle and deserve to be honored. That's why we walk.

The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight of ALS. The Central & Southern Ohio Chapter focuses primarily on helping local patients and families living with ALS while the National Office focuses primarily on research and advocacy.

The money raised through SEO Fights Against ALS at our events goes directly to the Central & Southern Ohio Chapter. They not only advocate for our local ALS Community (who far reaches beyond the individuals below) but they also provide support in various ways to the patient, the care givers and their families. They provide access to consistent care, treatment & services and enhance the quality of life for those affected by this atrocious unforgiving disease.

We hope you consider supporting our mission to help local families affected by ALS. ❤️
