💭 Imagine a space where…
You don’t have to explain yourself.
Your tears are sacred.
Your laughter is medicine.
Your silence is understood.
And your brilliance is never in question.
As DEI programs crumble, and Black women in higher ed face layoffs, censorship, and burnout, we need each other more than ever.
🖤 I’m creating a virtual Sister Circle—a sanctuary for connection, breath, and mindful practices. A space to release and replenish.
Come Be Who You Are.
Let’s talk about petitioning peace and not managing stress, keeping it real and keeping boundaries, supporting our nervous system while on the tenure track.

📥 Sign up here. Drop a 🖤 or “I’m in”

To the Black women holding it down in higher ed:
You’re carrying so much.
And still, you show up—with excellence, with care, with grace.
But who’s holding you?
I’m creating a virtual space for us. A space to lay it all down. To breathe. To listen. To be heard. To heal.
You don’t need to earn this space. You already belong.
đź–¤ Mindful practices
đź–¤ Rituals of rest
đź–¤ Collective witnessing
đź–¤ No judgment, just love
This is your invitation. Come exhale with us.

📣 Calling All Black Women Scholars 📣
If you’ve been navigating the challenges of burnout, seeking a sustainable path to wellness, or yearning for a community that truly understands your journey, this is for you. Listen to what one of my clients had to say.
I curate sacred spaces where Black women can express themselves authentically, make meaning of their lived experiences, and find healing through community connection. My circles are more than gatherings; they’re sanctuaries of liberation, joy, and collective care.
If you’re ready to prioritize your well-being, connect with like-minded scholars, and embrace a season of peace, health, and happiness, I invite you to join this transformative circle.
I know that times are unsettling right now. This circle is meant to be grounding and nourishing.

📣 Black women in Higher Ed—I see you.
Having been working in Higher Education for over 15 years but in the last 5 years as a consultant creating and curating spaces for connection and belonging. I have listened intently to the strain that you feel right now.
As DEI programs are being gutted, student affinity centers are being dismantled and jobs lost, you are expected to keep showing up unchanged, unbothered, and unbreakable.
But how do you continue when:
✊🏾 Your students are unsafe? You feel unprotected?
📝 Your syllabi are being policed?
🎓 Tenure is still a fight?
đź’Ľ Your jobs are hanging by a thread?
This moment is heavy. And it’s hurting .
So, it’s time for me to broaden my reach. I decided to curate a virtual space .
✨I’m creating this virtual affinity space where we can just be. A place for breath, reflection, restoration, and sisterhood. No performance, just presence.
DM me or drop a 🖤 if this is what you’ve been needing. You’re not alone. Tag a sister scholar

My first name is Yolandé. My daddy gave me that name …just like my Soror Nikki Giovanni. Mojuba.
I don’t believe it’s a coincidence ; it’s a powerful alignment. As a poet, I’ve long been inspired by her words that affirm the lives, beauty, and brilliance of Black women. Her poetry is a balm radical self and collective care wrapped in verse. Even though I am known as Fálàmí, I carry our name and legacy with pride.

As the self-care ritualist, I have been asked what are my self-care rituals. How do I nourish, nurture, rejuvenate, and protect my mind, body, and spirit..
One of those ways is to affirm myself.

Affirmations are my self-care ritual!

Somedays it is easy to affirm myself and some days it is not. However, I know that I can reach into the affirmation deck that I created to center my thinking and get back to the meaning and purpose of why this ritual is a must for me.

Are you a Self-Care “Affirmation “ Ritualist? If so, drop a purple heart in the comments.
