I remember being here and feeling my patience start to wear thin. I was showing up every day, doing the identity work, tracking my evidence, moving the way I teach my clients to move. Something had shifted in me. My decisions were cleaner. My reactions were different. I could feel that I was not the same person.
My results had not caught up to that yet. That gap does something to your mind. You start scanning for problems that are not actually there. You start revisiting decisions that felt clear when you made them. You look at aligned work like it needs to prove itself faster.
I could feel myself getting close to changing things that were not the issue. I could feel the urge to pivot, to adjust, to question whether I had gotten something wrong. At the same time, I could feel that none of that was actually true. Both were there.
The urge to change it, and the knowing that I shouldn’t. That is the moment. That is where most people leave. They start tweaking things that were actually working. They pull back their consistency. They dilute their focus. They interrupt the very thing that was about to compound because it had not shown them proof yet.
I was close to doing that. Then I remembered the bamboo tree. For years, it grows underground, building a root system you cannot see. There is no visible confirmation that anything is happening. Then it breaks the surface and rises faster than anything around it. That growth is not sudden. It is delayed visibility. That is where I was.
This is not the moment to pivot. This is the moment to hold your ground and go deeper into what already changed you. This is where you double down on the work, even when there is no reinforcement yet.
If you cannot stay here, you will keep getting close and then resetting your own progress. You will keep building momentum and breaking it before it has the chance to pay you back.
