Eric and Jill's Adoption Journey

Eric and Jill's Adoption Journey Eric and Jill's Adoption Journey Our Story:
Eric and I have been married since April 2, 2011. Due to medical reasons I am unable to carry a child.

We are very happy together but both of us have a desire to expand our family. We have both prayed for God to open a door for us and felt this may be one way to get connected with someone who may be interested in helping us to start a family. We are interested in a private adoption for anyone that may be facing an unexpected pregnancy. We are also open to surrogacy if someone has a passion to provi

de that wonderful and selfless blessing to us. We would be happy to talk details if you are interested. We know that facebook is a great forum to get the word out so we ask that you post this link to your page so that this concern can spread. We pray that God will open up opportunities through this media. Thank you for sharing this on your page. Please feel free to contact us on facebook or at jehammonds321@gmail.com if you are interested in talking. Jill's Story:
I have always loved children but knew from a young age that I would probably never be able to have my own. I am healthy but having had two kidney transplants in my life has made it too high risk to get pregnant as it would possibly result in losing my gift of a kidney and I just can’t risk that. I love being an aunt to the best niece and two nephews in the entire world. Not until I married my wonderful husband did I truly realize how much I wanted my own child. The only way that could happen would be to find someone willing to carry the child for my husband and I. Through our journey of talking to people we have also discussed adoption in great depth. We believe that could also be a wonderful way to bring a child into our life. I have learned throughout my life that so many turns are unknown but I trust in God with my life and believe that He knows best. I believe that my husband and I have a lot of love to share and would love the opportunity to raise a child. If you know of someone that may be looking for parents for their child please think of us. If you know of someone in need of finances but also with an open heart and ability to carry a child think of us as well. A little bit more about me. I have a Masters degree in Social Work and currently work for the State of Ohio as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. In my free time I enjoy reading, hiking, gardening and just being outside. We are also working on updated our house together. My husband and I both love to travel and have been fortunate enough to see Hawaii, Oregon, Rocky Mountains, Smoky Mountains, and Colorado together so far. I spent probably 12 years or so after college volunteering as a high school youth group leader and loved it. My husband and I attend a wonderful church in Westerville Ohio where we participate in a weekly bible study as well. Family is important to both of us and again we are blessed to have both of our families in Columbus close to us. That will be beneficial for the additional support in starting a family. Eric's Story:
A little bit about me for those who may not know me. I take great pride in the fact that I am from a family that cares about each other. I am forever thankful and appreciative of my loving parents who have worked hard to give me and my sister a good life and to instill a sense of strong moral principles into my life and personality. I am well versed in a lot of areas, sort of a renaissance man. I have a degree to be a naturalist as well as a degree in education. I currently am a 7th grade history teacher. I love what I do and it is important to me but I am not a workaholic. I love to be outdoors, be it through a hike, gardening, a camping trip or even just throwing the frisbee around. Camping is great; I have had several life changing adventures. I now feel secure in my ability to some day sit on a front porch, hopefully with some grandkids and be able to tell some pretty wild stories. As a father it would be important to me to introduce my child to the some of the beautiful aspects that nature has to offer. I also like and have a great respect for the cultural side of life like: the theater, art, ballet and museums. I like to learn and to teach. Traveling has always been a big part of my life. I love to explore new places and to revisit found treasures. I have been all over the world and am officially hooked! I think it is a great feeling to experience different places and cultures through food, music, language, laughter and art. I am a beach bum and at the same time a mountain man as Kerouac once said “it is impossible to fall in the middle of a dance’. As a father it would also be important to me to show my child some of the amazing places that our world has to offer. My friends would describe me as someone they can depend on, easy to talk to, fun, loyal, and creative; a good partner. I grew up having moral heroes and idols such as Grizzly Adams and Andy Griffith. I would like to think that as a father I would be able to impart similar attributes and attitudes towards the life of my child.
