Let's go Cherry! Cherry Poppins popped off at AIDS Walk Ohio with a high-energy performance. 🧡

Cherry Poppins has been entertaining for over 17 years. She's originally from Dayton, Ohio where she slipped on her first pair of pumps. Throughout the years, she has used drag as a platform to give back to the community and be a voice for black and brown q***r people. One of her biggest accomplishments was capturing the title of Miss Gay Ohio America in 2022, making her the 10th black queen to win the title. Cherry is also the reigning Miss Southbend 2026.

During the day, she works as a Prevention Health Navigator at Equitas Health where she gets to work directly with the q***r community to help provide HIV/STI prevention tools.

Thank you to Miss Gay Ohio America 2025 Maja Jera for bringing the energy at AIDS Walk Ohio!

Mixing the aesthetic of an anime villain with genderless glam, Maja Jera is a non-binary, AAPI drag performer from Columbus, Ohio, and the first Asian American Miss Gay Ohio America 2025. As a proud Filipino, they honor their heritage by producing all Asian-American/ Pacific Islander q***r entertainment shows throughout Columbus.

During the day, they proudly work at Equitas Health as a Prevention Specialist, providing HIV/STI testing and PrEP navigation to the community. 👏

Le****ns played a critical role in the HIV/AIDS crisis of the 80s.

They provided nursing care when healthcare providers were denying treatment due to stigma. Earning them the name The Blood Sisters, they organized blood drives and donated to support patients with HIV, who often needed blood transfusions. They were family when family abandoned their loved ones. 🌈🏳️‍⚧️

CincyVogue’s work is rooted in intention—introducing themes, supporting new talent, and creating space for growth within ballroom. This includes producing experiences like the Renaissance Ball, inspired by Beyoncé’s Renaissance album and featuring Kevin JZ Prodigy. Recently, CincyVogue has been noted as the “birthplace” of the OKI Chapter of The Dynamic Kiki House of Diesel as all of the current members started with CincyVogue as their beginning of ballroom.
