Hey y’all!
I’ll cut right to the chase: Voting and elections can increase anxiety and cause shifts in mental health! The tea is that there ARE some things you can do help manage!
1: Find empowerment in your voice! Your voice matters and you share that by casting your vote. You as your own person make a difference and you are valuable.
2: No leader shapes your narrative. Whoever the next elected leader is may have influence over policy and procedure, but you shape your own narrative, your own passion and your own ability to contribute to resolving issues that you are passionate about.
3: Spend time with trusted community! This helps ease fears that creep up in the hours leading up to the close of the polls and the tallying of the vote.
4: Find some point today to disconnect! What you absorb plays a role in your mood!
