✏️ Backpack Bootcamp! 🎒
Summer is winding down, and that big first day of school is almost here — is your child ready?

Whether they’re heading into preschool or kindergarten, Backpack Bootcamp is the perfect jumpstart to help them feel confident and prepared! This 3-night mini camp focuses on the fine motor and social skills that help kids thrive in the classroom.

✨ An engaging, hands-on experience where your child will work on:
✔️ Hand strength & pencil grasp
✔️ Letter & number formation
✔️ Cutting, coloring & drawing
✔️ Following routines & building independence
✔️ Making friends & growing confidence

Led by a licensed pediatric occupational therapist with over 14 years of school-based experience in a fun, small group setting!

🚀 MIGHTY MOVERS: OUTER SPACE WEEK 🌌
✨July 7–11 | 10:30a-12:30p | Ages 3–6✨

Strap in for a week of galactic adventure! Our Outer Space themed Mighty Movers group is designed for curious kids ages 3–6 who love to jump, climb, explore, and imagine!

🪐 Kids will:
• Zoom through space-themed obstacle courses
• Explore sensory stations and planet-themed play
• Strengthen motor skills while having a BLAST 🚀
• Make new friends in a supportive, inclusive group setting

As OT month comes to a close, here’s a quick look at the awesome happenings at the clinic & the incredible skills these kids have been building!

⚡️ Traveling to Chicago, becoming certified in using spinal stimulation to improve motor, sensory, and autonomic functions
🍴Using adapted utensils & plates to improve the ability to self feed
🚗 Learning about our “engines” to understand our levels of arousal and self-regulation, as well as the coping skills needed in different Zones of Regulation
😮‍💨 Multi-sensory obstacle courses to regulate our sensory systems before engaging in functional play
🤓 Visual perceptual activities, working on left/right and top/bottom discrimination, as well as visual scanning to help our writing and reading skills
✏️ Handwriting and drawing practice, using paper modifications to help guide our letter formation, sizing, line use, and spacing (p.s. how CUTE is that self portrait?!)
👟 Shoe tying using adapted methods and visuals to help our independence in self care skills

Phew! What a month! 🤗🥰 And we’re not slowing down anytime soon…
