Happy Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day! 🥑

Behind every dietitian is a younger version of ourselves who had no idea where life would lead. Today I get to help people rebuild trust with food, challenge diet culture, and learn that nourishment and joy can exist at the same table.

Grateful for the privilege of doing this work every day and for the incredible community of RDNs making nutrition more compassionate and evidence-based.

Did you know 80% of individuals with eating disorders do not receive treatment? One of the reasons: financial barriers. Thank you for putting together a great event and raising funds for those who can not afford treatment. 🫶

GLP-1 Medications: Useful Tool or Oversimplified Solution? At Fulfilled Nutrition Counseling, we believe in body autonomy — every individual has the right to make informed choices about their own body. One topic generating a lot of conversation right now is GLP-1 medications.

In this blog, our dietitian, Sidney Lambert, MDN, RD, LD, breaks down the current research, what we know (and don’t yet know), and how different bodies may respond to these medications — all from an objective, compassionate, and non-judgmental lens. Whether you’re curious, considering GLP-1s, or simply wanting reliable information, we invite you to read on.

Every detail of our Fulfilled Nutrition Counseling office was thoughtfully selected 🌿📚🫶

We aimed to create a warm, peaceful, and nurturing environment 🧘🏽‍♀️

And of course, a dietitian's office isn't complete without fun food puns to bring it all together 🌮🍩 🍇

A special shout out to friends, family, my husband (and daughter) for helping me put it all together ❤️

Order the holiday drink. Yes, the regular one. ☕️✨

Full-fat milk. Real sugar. Whipped cream if you want it.

Because here’s the truth: fat and sugar don’t automatically make you unhealthy.

Your body is smart. It knows exactly how to digest, absorb, and use fat and carbohydrates for energy and many other vital functions in the body! 🧠

One holiday latte does not cause weight gain.
One festive drink does not derail your health.

Swapping joy for “skinny” versions doesn’t make your body healthier — it often just makes food more stressful and less satisfying. And when satisfaction is missing, we tend to keep searching for it anyway.

Food is allowed to taste good.
Coffee can be festive.
Health includes pleasure.

So order the drink you actually want. Sip it slowly. Enjoy it fully. Your body knows what to do. 🤍

Please help me welcome our newest member of the team, Sidney Lambert, MDN, RD, LD! 🎉

Holiday meals 🍗🥧🥔 can bring up a lot — comments about food, bodies, “being good,” skipping dessert, or “earning” the meal.

If that’s something you’re navigating this week, these gentle scripts can help you shut down diet talk without overexplaining or absorbing anyone else’s stuff.

✨it’s ok to hold a boundary.
✨It’s ok to change the topic.
✨It’s ok to pushback against diet culture and protect ourselves.

This Thanksgiving step up to the 🍽️ and challenge diet culture and food rules to shape a better tomorrow.

🌍💚 Today is World Mental Health Day — a reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health.

As a dietitian, I see firsthand how food, body image, and self-talk can impact someone’s mental well-being. Healing our relationship with food isn’t just about nutrition — it’s about reducing shame, fostering self-compassion, and supporting overall emotional health.

✨ Let this be your reminder:

You are allowed to nourish your body without guilt. 🫶

You are not defined by your appearance or what’s on your plate. 🍽️

Seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. 💪🏽

Taking care of our minds helps us show up as our fullest selves — for our families, our communities, and most importantly, ourselves. 💙

🌯 This ad popped up on my Facebook feed, and I couldn’t help but pause.

Something I talk about often with clients is how our culture has redefined “healthy” to mean low-carb, high-protein, sugar-free, fat-free — basically stripped-down versions of normal food.
But here’s the truth:

👉 underfueling your body is not healthy. It may also lead to increased eating or binge eating. Our body’s NEED those nutrients.

That means a tortilla can just be a tortilla, chicken can be chicken, and ranch can be ranch. Together, they already give us balance — carbs, protein, and fat. We don’t need to manipulate food to make it “healthier.”

🥖🥑🍗 Eating the regular version not only nourishes your body, it supports your relationship with food, too.

✨ Let food be food. ✨
