Glaucoma is a common cause of blindness, but if it is detected early enough your vision can be saved. Some risk factors for glaucoma include, getting older, being African American or Asian, or having a close relative with glaucoma. If you have any concerns about your eyesight don't hesitate to advocate for yourself and ask for testing.

The latest visual aid product we have used is the "Clear Reader" from Freedom Scientific. This product reads printed materials such as books, newspapers, and labels this is a great product for anyone with low vision or complete vision loss.
