Abigail Hust Birth Doula Education, advocacy and support throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum. I have a passion for working with women and families.

I am a professional birth doula and attended the toLabor doula training in July 2014. I came into doula work after completing my Master's of Social Work Capstone project on Birth Trauma of low-income African American women. Through research, I was stunned by how many women experience birth trauma. As a doula I hope to empower and advocate for each woman so we can eliminate birth trauma. This can b

e done through advocacy, education and support throughout pregnancy, labor and delivery. I hope to continue to research and learn and grow as a doula to create the best possible birth experience for each individual. I work full-time as a social worker working with kids and families and in my spare time I enjoy spending time outdoors with my dog, Henry. I love sports, especially Ohio State Football and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
