PHILOSOPHY OF TRAINING

Train without boundaries. Success comes from your own internal acceptance that a change is needed to achieve your goals. With some sweat, hard work and proper education on training, nutrition, and recovery, you can make that change and break through those boundaries that were once holding you back. Nick Burke is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University in 2011. Nick specializes in bodyweight based training, high intensity interval training (HIIT), cross-training, endurance sports strength and conditioning, weight management/reduction and more.

Some 5x5 living room deficit deadlifts for lunch..

Haven't done these since the start of out stay home order, and they felt great! My back has been a little stiff lately, and doing moderately heavy (~75%) deficit deadlifts, which activate basically every single muscle in your poster chain, helps give me a nice muscular reset of alignment of my spine. I always feel like I'm walking taller, and more comfortably the next day after doing these.

What would these even be called? Push up to single arm sn**ch? Burpee sn**ch?
Whatever you wanna call it.. Someone beat me at it. Weight vest optional, but if you have one, wear it!

Felt great getting in some heavy front squats sans rack. Who needs a squat rack when you can just clean it up?

Heavy front and back squat supersets to start the week. Worked up to 275, for a single front and a back double.. I'll take that the day after riding the trails!

to last Thursday doing sn**ches and overhead squats for the first time in too long. It's fun getting under the bar, quickly, from time to time.. need to make it a priority to do it more often

Some D-ball weighed pistols. Never tried these before.. and they sucked about as bad as I had figured. Pretty satisfying to do tho! Maybe move on to kettlebells next?
