The Life of a Birth Girl running from life to kids to yoga to birth. There’s no easy life-work balance when you’re on call but what an honor to watch women portal into motherhood.

I’ve learned so much in the last decade of birth. From very idealistic, system fighter in the beginning to focused, grounded, mother-holder now. Each birth teaches me something new and every birth reminds me that the mother’s experience is more important than me, my ideas, my wants, or modern birth culture.

Grateful for the women who came before me and that continue to support me and the work. Also, shoutout to my kids who made me toast and coffee when I finally dragged myself out of bed at 2 pm today.

Every week is a surprise. But every week matters. We’re here to encourage and challenge them to become more in tune, more connected, more authentic. They’re still figuring it all out. And we’re here to hold space for that.
