Carolyn J. Isenhour

Mrs. Carolyn J. Isenhour of Goldmoor Drive, NE and most recently, Morningside of Concord, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, March 20, 2026 surrounded by family.

A Celebration of Carolyn’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 28 at 3:00 pm, at Grace Global Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Michael Dominick and Shirley. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Wilkinson Funeral Home.

Carolyn was born September 9, 1936 in Marion, Ohio to the late Carl L. Jones and Katherine E. Davis Jones. After graduating from Harding High School, Carolyn received a four-year scholarship to attend the Oberlin Conservatory of Music where she majored in piano and minored in organ. While attending Oberlin, she had an encounter with God in which she was called to be a nurse, and despite her promising professional career as a pianist, she followed where God led. In 1958, she graduated from the school of nursing at Lima Memorial Hospital and became an RN. It is evident that God had a hand in every single detail of Carolyn’s life, as while she was in nursing school, she met the love of her life, Alvie, better known as “Ike.” They married on November 30, 1958, and moved to Concord, NC where they started a family.

Over the years, in addition to nursing, Carolyn has done many things. She began teaching piano in high school and continued to do so in NC, touching the lives of many in the community of Concord. Eventually, she would also help Ike in the business he started, Ike’s Realty and Construction, Inc. Finally, she also was the organist/pianist at both Royal Oaks UMC and then, for many years, at Epworth UMC, where she also started the handbell choir.

The role that Carolyn loved most was being a mother to her four children, to whom she would give anything in the world. Her greatest gifts were her unconditional love and her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. As her children grew to be adults with their own families, she gained three daughter-in laws and a son-in-law, whom she also loved dearly. Her greatest joys as time went on were her 10 grandchildren, some with spouses, and six great grandchildren (and another one on the way). Carolyn loved each one of them, and each one had a special place in her heart.

Over the years, Carolyn has received many recognitions, but she will be remembered most for her deep faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her extravagant love for her family, and her deep appreciation and love of music. After a long battle of Alzheimer’s, the family is rejoicing that she is now in the arms of Jesus with a new body and whole again.

Carolyn’s parents and brother, Bob, preceded her in death. She is survived by her four children: daughter, Teresa Gray and husband Dennis; sons, Chris Isenhour and wife, Kim; Greg Isenhour, and wife, Beverly; and Jeff Isenhour and wife, Judy; grandchildren, Zach (Summer), Morgan (Zach), David (Katie), Sarah (Colin), Daniel (Leslie), Patrick, Josh, Alyssa, Hannah (Jarrett), and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Ava, Scarlett, Hollis, Charlie, and Charlotte; and sisters, Ginny Hyatt of South Carolina and Bonnie Wilber of Pennsylvania.

The family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank you!” to the entire staff of Morningside of Concord and especially to Crystal and Niki in the Memory Unit. In addition, they would like to say, “Thank you!” to Angela Trull and all the caregivers at Central Carolina Home Health. Finally, they are very appreciative of the care that Hospice of Cabarrus County provided the family. We give thanks to God for all the ways that each of these individuals ministered to our mother and took such great care of her through her last days on this earth. There is no doubt that God put all the right people in all the right places at just the right time, and through it all, our mother was honored and cherished to her last moment! And now, we have no doubt that Jesus has said, “Well done, my good and faithful servant!”

Memorials may be made to the building fund of her church, Grace Global Methodist Church, Inc., P.O. Box 1109, Concord, NC 28026.

She is also survived by four precious grandchildren, Mynasia Pack, Myzaiah Pack, Lorenzo Fezza, and Geno Fezza, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Terry Lynn Manus

Terry Lynn Manus, 65, passed away on March 15, 2026. He was born on December 3, 1960 to Margaret Manus and the late Archie Manus.

If you knew Terry, you knew he loved collecting and selling old classic toys throughout his life. Growing up, he especially loved Batman and Robin. When he was a kid, he was often seen around the house wearing a towel or cape around his neck, jumping off anything he could as he imagined himself a superhero.

Terry was employed for over 42 years with the television station now known as WCNC (formerly Channel 36). He ran audio for the station and truly loved his work there,

One of the greatest joys in Terry's life was attending festivals with his mom. They were partners in everything they did and especially enjoyed visiting flea markets. One of the highlights of their earlier years together was attending the Oyster Festival at Ocean Isle.

Terry will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of family, and the joy he found in simple things in life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Manus, sister, Barry Mizelle (Kenny). He is also survived by his nieces, Jennifer Ennis (John), Jessica Cochran (Ryan), Erin James (Rob), and Ashlyn Mizelle. Terry is also survived by great-nieces and nephews: Brooklyn Ennis, Reece Cochran, Emma James, and Brady James.
