Important Payroll Reminders from HR:

Student Worker End-of-Semester Reminders

Federal Work Study (FWS): All FWS and Community FWS positions will officially end on April 30, 2026.

To keep a student working after this date, you must submit a Student Worker PAF (select "New Assignment") to transition them to departmental funds.

Contact Financial Aid regarding summer eligibility and start dates.

Graduating Students: Students graduating this spring must end their employment the day before graduation.

Action Required: Submit an End of Assignment PAF effective the day before their graduation date.

To retain a graduate as an employee, you must hire them as Extra Help through the Applicant Tracking system.

All other questions: contact payroll@uca.edu or 501-450-3181.

Action Required: 2026-2027 Faculty Deferred Pay:

Faculty wishing to update their deferred pay for the 2026-2027 academic year must submit the Faculty Twelve-Month Deferral Pay Authorization Form by July 1, 2026.

BeWell Weekly Update:

It is almost that time of year where BeWell partners with the UCA Student Health Clinic to offer FREE biometric screenings to eligible employees by appointment. Take advantage of this opportunity to better understand and manage your health and earn a health insurance premium discount for 2027. The screening takes less than 15 minutes and is one of two activities to complete in order to qualify for a discount on your health insurance premiums in 2026.

On-site screenings will be offered starting May 4th through August 14th, 2026.

To schedule your screening at the UCA Student Health Clinic, call (501) 450-3136 or use the online patient portal.

Patients must fast at least 4 hours and hydrate prior to the screening. Review BeWell Biometric Screening FAQs prior to scheduling.

Why participate?
During the screening process, employees discover unknown health concerns such as high blood pressure, diabetes and some types of cancer. In addition to promoting the well-being of faculty and staff, screenings are the main strategy used to mitigate financial risk to UCA's self-insured health plan. By participating in annual screenings, you are doing your part to help minimize increases to your health insurance premiums.

Want to know what to expect:
This BeWell Education session "Holistic Approach to Improving your Biometric Screening Score" explains what to expect during onsite biometric screenings and how biometric scores are calculated. Additionally, how to improve your score from a holistic approach by improving nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress.
