For Black youth ages 10–24, su***de was the third leading cause of death in 2021. Between 2011 and 2021, the su***de rate for non-Hispanic Black individuals increased by 58%. Stigma, inequities, and a lack of culturally responsive care continue to silence those who are struggling.

Join us for a powerful conversation with:
Victor Armstrong, MSW – American Foundation for Su***de Prevention
Dr. Rosalynn Thyssen – Assistant Professor & Founder, Traeh Thyssen Have A Heart Foundation
Dr. Sidney Hankerson – Associate Professor & Project Leader for TRIUMPH

Together, they’ll explore stigma, systemic barriers, and share culturally grounded strategies for prevention, healing, and support in Black/African ancestry communities.
