March 24 is World Tuberculosis Day. ๐Ÿ“†

Tuberculosis (TB) is still present in our communities, and awareness matters.

In Tennessee, 141 people were diagnosed with TB in 2025, with cases remaining higher than pre-2019 levels. TB is an infectious disease that usually affects the lungs, but it is preventable and curable with proper treatment.

Know the signs:
A cough lasting more than 2โ€“3 weeks, fever, fatigue, night sweats, or coughing up blood.

A few key reminders:
โ€ข TB can affect anyone
โ€ข It can be active or latent
โ€ข Early testing and treatment make a difference

This World TB Day, we encourage everyone to stay informed and seek care if needed.
