Healing looks different for everyone and even for one person, it can come in different forms.

When people are innovative and think outside the box with development of ideas to support the body’s self-healing capabilities, the nerd in me comes out. I want to know the why and the how.

We all have an understanding internally of our “vitality”.

Age does change things, but don’t use it as an excuse to explain things that you know don’t feel quite like they should.

Too often we as humans push through and adapt to abnormal. The longer we do that the more we convince ourselves that abnormal is normal and we perpetuate disease in our future generations by showing them that suffering is normal and that self-care takes a back seat.

Health is an investment that takes many decisions to continue forward. Healing is not linear but understanding that can help you to continue to fight for better health.

Habit alignment

How far are your daily habits from the version of you that is healthiest and happiest?

Change doesn’t have to be massive to be forward progressing.

It could be:
-setting an evening and morning phone mode lock so you have the time you are wanting to read.
- going for a 1-2 block walk after dinner to help balance your blood sugar levels and sleep better
- setting a 5 minute timer to practice meditation
- learning one guitar chord per week and getting the feel for the strum

Where can you start? Just start with each day.

I enjoy sweet treats here and there as does my little one.

When it can be an activity that we do together that she can engage with food, involving her senses and she gets to create something delicious it fills my heart.

Full disclosure…. She did not like these. She is more of a chocolate peanut butter girl (as am I haha) but she did eat the frosting!

With basic ingredients, I wasn’t worried about a sugar high followed by high energy, and that never came.

I think they’re pretty tasty! Especially with mushroom coffee like or or a decaf.

I sometimes hear the phrase "I tried meditating but I can't do it."

Meditation and stillness are a practice. Just starting and showing up is the practice. Allowing yourself to be an observer of your thoughts and feelings, allowing them to move as best you can.

AND...when they don't.... you just continue to show up & practice again.

Start with setting a timer for 5 minutes_ shoot for 1 week. Assess how you're doing at the end of the week.
