Working on this project for Military Veterans in Recovery with has been an honor and privilege 🇺🇸
Did you know?
Veterans are at a 22% higher risk of su***de than civilian adults.
As of 2019, the su***de among male veterans increased by 62.4%.
30% of Vietnam veterans will experience PTSD in their lifetime.
12% of Gulf War veterans will experience PTSD within a given year.
11-20% of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans will experience PTSD in a given year.
As hard as the V.A. is working to help veterans, it takes community resources to fill in the gaps. This new initiative will provide treatment for mental illness and substance use disorders so that no veteran is left behind.
