A good faith dental experience: Introducing a fresh take on oral hygiene 🦷✨🌈

I bought a truck!! 🙌🏼 This sweet 1994 GMC will be my vehicle for towing my Airstream dental clinic all over the state! She is in excellent condition for her age!

I would not have been able to get this without all the support from everyone on both my GoFundMe and Kiva loan. This is a huge leap forward in terms of being road ready!

Lastly, she needs a name! I’m open for suggestions!!

I applied for a crowdfunding LOAN (I pay everyone back) with Kiva, it is just now “live”. 🙌🏼 They approved me for $7500. It will be a significant help hopefully getting me to the finish line! I have 15 days to get 15 people in my “personal circle” to loan $25. This supposedly validates me and my character and my vision. This period of time doesn’t exactly make a difference on the amount of money loaned, but that I can get 15 people. From there, it becomes public and I get views from big organizations (big moneys) that will crowdfund my loan. In the mid-1800s, Lucy Beaman Hobbs faced rejection after rejection — medical and dental schools simply told her “no” because of her gender.

Instead of giving up, she studied privately, opened her own practice, and quickly earned respect from patients and peers. Her determination finally forced the Ohio College of Dental Surgery to admit her, and in 1866 she became the first woman in America to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Lucy’s courage reshaped dentistry. By the early 1900s, nearly a thousand women had followed her path. Today, her name remains a symbol of resilience and progress — a reminder that barriers exist only until someone breaks them.

Some days I get overwhelmed and down on myself while feeling like I got nothing accomplished with my renovation for the day. “I just spent hours out there and if someone looked at it, they wouldn’t see any improvement from yesterday.” Then I realize that I finished resealing all the windows and adding the new hardware. I patched up the hole on the roof where the old oven vent came out. I wired the new reverse lights and they are so damn cute! I attached 3 new ventilation covers on the roof and they look sharp!!

Every new bit is time consuming, small as it may be…but every part is important and equally as critical. It’s good to remember the small things matter too ✨✨

✨FUN FACT: The Bargman L-200 is a vintage door handle lock produced by the Theodore Bargman Company, a Detroit-based manufacturer with a long history in the RV industry. 🔐 The company, founded in 1931, established itself as a leading name for RV and trailer hardware, including door locks and lighting components. Their products, known for their solid construction and chrome finish, became a standard feature on many travel trailers and campers, including Airstreams. These locks are considered obsolete and functioning L-200 handles are now rare and command high prices from resellers. 💰

I had pretty much concluded that I would not find this replacement and several custom fabrications to door would need to be done. But lo and freakin behold!! I GOT IT!! 🙌🏼 Honestly I think the gal on marketplace didn’t know truly what she had…it works AND has the key! ✨💫🔥 That in itself is a BEAUTIFUL miracle!

One more solid full day workin with this guy, , and the whole foundation of my Airstream will be ready for new floors!! This is when things finally get exciting… so stay tuned!!

Renovating this Airstream is such an adventure! Some things are like “oooo shiny new” ✨ and other things are gross and dirty degreasing or stripping the clear-coat or prying rusty hinges off the windows.

The GoFundMe is because every little thing cost money, naturally…duh. A window latch is $7, but times that by 18. A new outlet receptacle is $5, times 10. There’s polishing compounds and buffing wheels, paint and brushes, window seals, light bulb replacements, the list goes on and on. When I say every dollar helps… it’s because it truly does! Please consider a small contribution toward this project! 🙏🏻
