A CALL TO ACTION

Over the weekend ICE moved into Charlotte Latino and Hispanic communities and businesses to elicit fear and harm. To physically separate family systems and project their inner chaos negatively impacts the community and harms the whole.

In the face of such fear, we may not control every external force…law enforcement, systems of power, or societal tension, yet we can witness the energy, sit with it, and feel how it moves through us.

We can ground ourselves, return to truth to self, and hold sacred space for those whose bodies and spirits are in daily vigilance. Presence is power, even amidst uncertainty. Fear does not have to become our captor. We can meet it over and over with courage.

How can we hold our inner peace while honoring the energy around us?

Step out of the rush of external fear and anxiety for 45 minutes as we attune to Unity as Power.

We will come together to offer prayers, courage, and healing energy to all people of color impacted by this experience, directly, ancestrally, vicariously, or in any way.

At its heart, this is about conscious participation. We are not powerless in chaos. Awareness itself is a sacred act of creation.

What can I do about this crazy world? May this sharing offer guidance and breath into the tense spaces within. Flow. Movement through the waves.

Chaos is not random. It mirrors how we each contribute to disorder—through avoidance, apathy, or bias. Avoiding politics or the human condition only deepens it. True awareness asks that we meet complexity with open eyes and steady hearts.

We must face the reality we have contributed to, whether through ignorance, complacency, or silence. This is accountability in action.

Some turn inward, healing their inner worlds to feel better in the outer. Healing is not an escape—it is a bridge back into the collective.

Perfectionism is crumbling. Curated images, in society and ourselves, give way to truth. Beneath it shines raw honesty, inviting us to observe, receive, and embody what is real. Mistakes are not failures—they are lessons, opportunities, possibilities, the soil from which wisdom grows.

Noticing the spiral in our lives is homework. Meeting it with openness and correct love is one way through. I see this as a mother of a 15, 12, and 3-year-old, each mirroring younger versions of myself. I recognize my old stories in their fears and tenderness. Yet this time, I meet those reflections with a heart that is healing and still learning. I show up real… scared at times, courageous, loving, and present.

We make amends with our past each time we choose wisdom, each time we feel and let go. The spiral becomes a movement of grace, carrying us closer to truth.

I am carried by Love—through Divine who catches me, a partner who offers healthy support, and a tribe of heart-guided souls who walk beside me. Love becomes daily action restoring balance within and around us. To consciously choose love again and again is truth in motion, the spiral turning toward awakening, the movement of healing made visible through presence.

At some point in life, each of us has needed support whether as children relying on our families, as struggling college students, or as adults navigating low tides while caring for our own.

Needing help does not make us weak; it reminds us that we are human. Every soul experiences moments when they must lean into the grace of others.

Right now, many in our communities are simply in need of the most basic support — food.
Food banks are always open to volunteers, donations, and helping hands.

If you feel called, consider offering your time, resources, or prayers. Even the smallest act of giving contributes to the greater field of abundance. If you need to receive, there emotionally and energetically safe people all around you; be guided to them.

When one of us is nourished, all are lifted. 💜🙏🏾

This morning, tending with compassion to the various parts of myself, a beautiful download came through.

Struggles we carry:

Validation and Self-Worth – the old wounds of needing to prove ourselves.

Conflict Between Human Desire and Spiritual Alignment – the tension between what we want and what our energy calls for.

Feeling Overwhelmed and Exhausted – the fatigue of constantly striving and rebuilding. Accepting human condition as truths about ourselves and forgetting our essence.

Seeking Freedom and Presence – the longing to fully inhabit our body, mind, and spirit without judgment.

In this space of compassion and awareness, I received a clear message:

We are not our human roles, our jobs, our titles, or our achievements. Those are just ways we express ourselves. At our core, our highest role is to simply be light.

Like a sunflower, we can turn toward the light, letting our presence, love, and energy shine freely. 🌻
This means:
• Showing up fully, as ourselves, without needing to earn love or prove worth.
• Letting our presence, energy, and love shine freely, without expectation.
• Honoring every part of our journey-the struggles, the joy, the growth, all as part of the journey

Together, we can release the weight of comparison, judgment, and striving. Together, we can simply be as we are inherently…radiant and whole.
We must shine together, as one luminous presence in this world. ✨

From a heart that is more open and feeling more deeply during these incomprehensible times in this lifetime…

I hold this perspective: people are not breaking down; the world is breaking open through them.

Through this experience personally and as witness every trembling, every tear, every flash of anger and every moment of despair is a doorway through which something larger is moving. The whisper “trust in the unknown” is the guidance we all need. Listen. Follow through.

To choose love (courage, compassion, empathy, faith, kindness, care, presence…) in any way that meets pain and discomfort in fullness of spirit right now is the medicine.

The pathology is the symptom not the source.

Like the butterfly, we are shaped by the stages we pass through. As we awaken to the tender places of our inner child, we begin to see how those experiences ripple into the way we love, guide, and connect with our kids and all relationships.
This awareness is not about blame; it is about freedom.
Each layer we tend to within ourselves opens the wings for all to experience a new way of relating, one rooted in compassion and truth.

We can love from the porch of our hearts.
We can wave, smile, and hold grace in our eyes.
Only some are meant to come inside.
Only some get to sip the tea of our time, our tenderness, our trust, our space.

Some must stay at the threshold not out of punishment; our sanctuary requires mutual presence.

Releasing one-sided relationships does not come from resentment; it comes from reverence for the energy they once shared and the truth they now reveal.

People who show up halfway do not deserve our whole.
People who meet - deserve to be met.
Our worthy, wise, and whole self deserves Everything!

Depression often forms when emotions and experiences are buried instead of felt. They don’t disappear—they store themselves in the body, in the energy field, in the heart. Over time, what hasn’t been processed begins to spill into every part of our being.

There’s a way through that doesn’t require ignoring the pain. It invites us to witness it—compassionately, without becoming swallowed by it. A practice of soft observation, not avoidance.

Ask yourself gently:
What emotions have I been holding down?
What parts of my life have I resisted accepting or digesting?
Where have I used “spiritual strength” to avoid vulnerability?

Sometimes, what once kept us safe becomes the very thing that holds us back. Depression is the body’s attempt to survive—but if we stay there too long, it becomes a prison instead of a protection.

Disconnection from the body, spirit, and joy deepens. Numbness becomes normal. Apathy moves in. But support exists—and it is valid to reach for it, through both medicine and integrative care.

Still, healing begins with choice. Choosing to feel. Choosing to return to yourself. Choosing to be supported.

Many of us, especially people of color, carry a grief and weight that isn’t always visible. But it lives in us.

My practice is to observe, not absorb. To hold space for others without losing myself. To stay rooted in my own body while standing alongside those in pain.

We must feel to heal. We must process to integrate. We must carry only what is ours—and release the rest. That is where power lives. That is where healing begins.

As a trauma resolution therapist and Eco-Soul coach, I walk with those navigating depression and emotional overwhelm—gently, holistically, and without judgment. I integrate somatic work, nature-based healing, ritual, and deep listening to support you in coming home to yourself.

Taking meds or considering, I see them as a tool and resource for support.

I’m Crystal Brooks, a woman, a solo mom of 3 amazing humans, partner, family member, friend, trauma resolution therapist, eco-soul coach, perinatal mental health specialist and self-healer. I’ve learned that integrity is not about being perfect. It’s about coming home to the truth again and again with support.

Like many helpers, I’ve grown through seasons of overwhelm and misalignment—times when I carried too much alone, made missteps, and had to re-learn how to support myself while supporting others.

This next chapter of my practice is rooted in clarity, care, and conscious connection. I am more committed than ever to practicing from a place of embodied ethics, grounded presence, and true soul-alignment.
