Today is my father’s birthday.
He wasn’t always around when I was growing up—but when he was, he was fully there.
Present.
Attuned.
Never too busy.
I loved holding his hand.
Even when I only saw him once or twice a year, his presence left a mark.
And now, here I am...
In a car, holding her hand.
My granddaughter.
Asleep in the backseat.
The world quiet around us.
Three generations.
One shared thread: presence.
And I can feel it - how presence travels.
How love echoes forward.
This isn’t a break from my business.
It’s a return to what I’m really building—
Legacy, not noise.
Time well spent.
Love that echoes forward.
If you’re in a pause right now, you’re not behind.
You’re remembering what matters.
There’s still time.
There’s always time…
To be the presence they’ll remember.
Presence is power. Let’s not forget.
In witnessing others, we remember what’s sacred in ourselves
and holy in nurturing our relationships.
“Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity.” — Simone Weil
