We ended on a sweet note with a candy bar, ice cream sundaes, a hula-hoop contest, dirty sodas, Pictionary, a luau, s'mores, pineapple upside down cake, and a little music therapy! 🍬🥤🍍🎶 Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped make it special.

The celebrations may be over, but our appreciation is not. 💙 Our incredible staff delivers compassionate care every day and that is always worth celebrating.

This week, we’re honoring the compassion and dedication that power our hospital every day. National Hospital Week, which began in 1921 and expanded in 1953 to align with Florence Nightingale’s birthday, celebrates the people and progress that make care possible.

And we’re celebrating our team in style! From ice cream 🍦 and therapy dogs 🐶 to mocktails 🍹, tacos 🌮, lemon tarts 🍋 and fun activities like shrinky d***s, it’s all about showing appreciation.

Thank you for all you do to make our hospital a place of comfort and care! 💙

We are so grateful to everyone who participated in this year’s Hanging Basket Sales —especially our incredible volunteers who covered multiple shifts over both days 🙌. Your time, energy and dedication helped everything run smoothly. A heartfelt thank-you as well to our partners at Peoria Gardens, who grow the beautiful mixed baskets we offer 🌼. From Mixed Baskets to Geraniums and Fuchsias, the flowers were stunning💐.

Audible sounds of amazement filled the conference room as astrophotographer Jeremy Likness projected his images on a large screen during our hospital's annual Volunteer Recognition Celebration. The owner of Deep Sky Workflows, Jeremy entranced the audience with his stories and photos. 🌖 📷 🌠

Equally entrancing were the statistics shared at the event. Last year, 73 volunteers donated 12,177 hours of service to our hospital, patients and staff. The value of this work is estimated at more than $443,00! Guys, gals, teens and four-legged volunteers - you are indeed OUT OF THIS WORLD! 💙💛💜 Thanks for your service to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital. We appreciate you.
